There were several threads on this board this season that discussed stocking in the metro. As many of you may already know, The Twin Cities Chapter has stocked 1,000’s of muskies in metro lakes helping to create some very successful fisheries like White Bear and Minnetonka. One of our key fundraising events to make this possible is our annual banquet. Several of the members of this forum attended last year so I thought we would post an annoucement of this year’s event.

You do not need to be a member to attend.

    Ps. Did you know?
The Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies, Inc. uses funds raised from events like this banquet for:
    · Financing and staffing a Military fishing day on Lake Minnetonka
    · Playing an integral role in getting public support to stock Lake Pokegama
    · Providing a day of fishing and shore lunch for every resident of the Minnesota Veterans Home.
    · Working with the DNR to develop a new long-range muskie management plan to include new muskie lakes
    · Hosting outings for physically disabled members of the Capable Partners organization
    · Maintaining muskie rearing ponds to stock yearlings in Minnetonka, White Bear and other Metro lakes, dramatically improving survival rate and increasing numbers of catchable fish sooner.
    · Hosting youth outings in the Metro area in cooperation with the Fish-A-Thon organization.

I attended last year and it was a great time. Walked away with a raffle prize of a new Lakewoods tacklebox with 10 lures in it! One of the lures in the box coincidently caught a 46incher for me, my biggest fish of the year!
