Hearing your 80# Power Pro go SNAP while throwing the pounder the second time using it.

Now its sitting somewhere in 30 feet of water laughing at me.

At least the little bit of back lash I got came out pretty easy.

Can I blame Jami Ritter for giving me a hard time for trolling instead of hucking my muskie baits?

How about losing 4 spro frogs prefishing. Then losing another one on a big pike the day of the tourney. I have to laugh though because I think everybody has had a bait go flying off after a backlash. I had a buddy jump out of the boat and go after his favorite buzzbait one day . Dan

300ft. casts are expensive but still fun to watch if your buddy does it

You could… but it sounds like you need more practice hucking baits..

That is awesome Jeff . That has got to be some sort of record as your shooting a beer out your nose. Dan

Having the split ring on a $30 bulldawg come apart while you are trying to get the net untangled from a boat cleat with a 45+” fish on it…

yeah thats pretty bad but if you are just whipping them out there as far as you can you probably going to have that happen. i’ve lost a couple husky jerks doing that walleye fishing.

I like to sacrifice at least one Bomber to the wing dam casting gods on any given summer Walleye day. It is impressive to see those things fly 100′ past the wing dam. I’m sure a huge musky bait gets some momentum going, and flies for a long ways.

What’s worse than paying $30.00 for a Bulldog?

Losing 2 Double cowgirls to the rocks at the Hudson Dam, while trying out my new Diawa Saltist

I think I would be putting on my swim trunks and scuba mask to retrieve them. Either that or bribe one of the shore fisherman with a couple of sheephead to retrieve them for you.

You did not learn after the first one went sailing

    New line?

If this was the cause, I would suggest anytime you put new line on, troll out almost all of the line and reel it back in while trolling. This will help get the line on the spool very tight and the backlash issue is no more.

If it was IO, I can’t help with that

I would say no I didn’t quite learn my lesson, I thought after the first few casts I had it figured out, but I guess not

Yeah It was brand new 80 lb Power pro
