I was wondering what you guys think about us starting our own Lunge log

I think this would be a very helpful tool for us to figure out some patterns

    Things to include would be

    1. Date

    2. Time

    3. Weather

    4. Wind direction & speed

    5. Moon phase

    6. Was it caught during Sun rise/set or Moon rise/set

    7. Water temp

    7. Bait used

    8. Any other useful info that I may have missed

    Thanks guys

I think this could be a really useful tool in our pursuit of the mighty muskie

Great idea! Here is a data point that you missed, though… Exact GPS coordinates.

Sounds like a good idea. The muskies inc. lunge log is a great resource. One other thing I would add would be water clarity/color. I don’t spend a lot of time on any one lake. I tend to hop around a bit, but applying certain lures and techniques to clear water lakes vs. green/murky lakes is always a struggle to me. I just don’t have confidence throwing anything rubber or any type of jerkbait in dirty water but if people are catching fish that way I would try it more.

When is the last time you actually used a bottom bouncer Bob? Unless you count Jeff bouncing of the bottom of your boat while executing 180’s on Vermillion…
