Muskie fishing over the past few weeks has really started to get the fever going with me. I don’t know if this a good thing or potential financial disaster…..

    The latter!

49″ caught on friday on a Big Mama big earl buck tail. This fish was the most violent strike that i have ever had.It came out of the water but missed then just about took my new Diawa Saltist 40 out of my hands on the 8.

Just a tip if you want to throw big hard pulling baits like 2×10 2×12 buck tails or giant rubber i would take a hard at a Diawa Saltist 47” of line per crank

Tim after this year I would seriously consider selling ALL of your muskie stuff…You know your having an unreal year with putting fish in the boat. Sell it all go out with a bang and take up…….. Golf…….

    Nice fish!!!

I love my Saltist, however we’ve kind of got a love hate relationship, after she cost me almost 50 big ones

When I donated 2 Double cowgirls to the rocks at the hudson Dam

I knew I should’ve gone to a more sandy place to practice

    Nice fish Timmy

Here’s a 47″ fish that found herself on the front end of a shoot on mille lacs that was intended to be a basin trolling for walleye show. Can’t say I was disappointed to see her even if the run in with this fat momma didn’t exactly stick to the script.

Caught this one on a #11 deep tail dancer in purpledescence. This fish had led a rough life. She had a HUGE bite mark on her tail that was a full 50% wider than the mouth on this 47″ fish and she showed plenty of other battle scars.

40″ Pike from Ontario. Chad Thompson, owner of Pasha Lake Cabins, is shown here holding a fatty. This fish gave us one heck of a tussle and was quickly released to go off and harass ducks or do whatever pike do when they’re not posing for pictures.

Hooked up with a good friend of mine (Barry Gross) who used to guide west of Minocqua. He is now working a YMCA camp north of Lac du Flambeau. One of the guests wanted to catch a musky, so we went to try to bust his musky cherry. Not able to get Tim his first, but he was very excited when Barry was able to put this 32″-34″ in the boat after moonset. Water temp on the Pike Round Chain yesterday was 67*-68*, wind was from the south making it a pleasant day to be on the water, beautiful sunset, great conversation, a couple of Point ; check out the moon on the tip of the nose!!!
