Again, not having any success with the musky openers. I am leaving to meet my bro down on Castle Rock for tomorrow and Monday a.m. Mostly fishing other fish with him. My usual musky partner is in Trempeauleau for a fishing/golfing weekend.

I will be working Rollie and Helen’s Musky Shop tonight and again on Monday. I will try to put up a report on what I hear from the guys who got to pound it today and the rest of the weekend. Going to be Tuesday a.m. or Wednesday p.m. before I get a chance. Water temps are still low, so the spawn is either just finishing on the smaller lakes, in process on the mid sized lakes or just getting started on the bigger lakes. Wed. night I fished the Flambeau Chain and found water temps mid to upper fifties on the smaller lakes and lower 50’s on the mid-sized lakes. Good Luck!!!

The muskies were still spawning in our lake this weekend. We saw more than a dozen of them on Sunday in one back bay alone.

Fished 2 days, caught 3 from 32″-40″. We were hit by a massive cold front yesterday and I think that was why it was a little slow. Had some opportunities at some bigger fish, but it wasn’t meant to be. Fun time none the less. Now only for MN to open, where I’m lucky to catch one under 40″, lol.
