…Till the Minnesota Muskie Expo. I’ve been waiting since last August to order a replica of my first and only 50 inch fish. I have a couple good buddies that highly recommend both Fittante and LAX. I’ve seen mounts from both of them and they are both awesome. Their prices seem to be similar too. I also plan to look at some mounts from other taxidermist there too, but am strongly leaning towards one of these two. Any suggestions on other taxidermist to check out while I’m there?

Unfortunately, I was fishing by myself when I caught the fish and there wasn’t anyone nearby to take a picture. The only pictures I have were a couple of quick shots I took after I measured it (50 X 23). I’m hoping they can make it look similar to them.

Nice fish!! Catch it with the ski rope or the braid all over the floor?

I was trolling with 2 lines (I’m a WI resident ) and it got tangled in my second line when I was reeling it in. It was quite a mess and I just cut line while it was still in the net. I’m guessing it took me about an hour after I released it to get my lines back in the water. The ski rope was left over from pulling my niece and her friends on a stupid tube prior to going fishing.

You might want to give Matt at the Artistic Angler’s a call he does all my mounts and also come highly recommended from thorne brothers tackle in fridley MN. If you don’t live far from fridley you should swing in and look at his work. I do not know if he will be at the muskie expo or not but give him a call his number is 218-721-4900. Oh and by the way that was a dam nice fish my biggest was 45 and my wife’s first one was 52.25. She got lucky.

These are photos of the Dahms musky caught with Steve Jonesi on Mille Lacs. This fish resides on the Hunter’s Point wall and I think Lax did this. I am trying to get confirmation on this and will post once I hear.

Yes Rick did that fish. I saw it in person at a Jonsie seminar, beautiful replica.

I really like the pine boards they can put them on too, but am still not sure if I want to spend an extra 120.00 for it. I like how they can include the size, dates, etc on the board. 18 more days.
