Have any of you guys ever bought used Muskie gear? If so how much do you think you saved on baits? 50%? More? Less?

I buy lots of gear used. Saves a ton of money. I picked up a Thorn Custom rod with a Okuma Induron reel for under $200 last year as well as a 300 Curado and rod for well under that. If you look around and hit the deals you can save 25-50% on baits. Hit the Swap after the MN Expo on Sat night lots of bargins there. Buddy picked up a Luna last year for $125

I have a box with lures that I have bought, or have gotten as gifts that I have I never used, that I would sell to you if you were interested for half price. I haven’t thrown for muskies in a few years, and don’t have the time it seems like.

Thanks for the offer. At this time I’m not looking for gear. Just doing a little research on a business idea.

I’ve picked up a few rods and reels, the rods are fine. I won’t buy another used reel. Felt great in the hand, smooth…till I used it on the water. Once there was a bait tied to the end the reel got real rough(morrum). Live and learn.

Many of my lures are used, ebay or craigslist. The savings on the lures is huge. Picked up a full box on Ebay for $80, all in very good condition, all are quality lures. Total new would have cost me over $500. I see quite a few “lots” on ebay, great prices…if I only needed more, I don’t.
