If you guys and gals haven’t seen this yet, this is a fish that we all dream about. Weight calculators put this thing between 62-77 pounds! Congrats to the angler who actually caught and released this beast. Don’t know if I would have done the same.

Anyone know any details to the fish? Looks like they were fishing at night. Possibly trolling?

That is a truly amazing fish. Did a little looking around and there is another thread going about this fish on another site where the angler chimes in as well. Here is a release pic of that fish from that thread that is UNREAL!! It is thick all the way to the tail. Hats off to this angler who not only caught a fish of a lifetime, but released it to be caught again. Hopefully someone else will have the thrill of catching and releasing this fish again.

I’d release it, but I’m pretty sure you’d have to knock it out of my hands. Boy it would be tempting to have the state record.

WOW! I would love to say I would have let her go too, but I just don’t know if I could. I know it’s not a popular answer but, with it being record quality, and, truly a fish that I would NEVER top again I just don’t know if I could. a Nice 52″ fish that I know isn’t a record goes back in a heartbeat by the way

congrats to the angler on the catch of a life time, and truley being a sportsman.

Now is there a picture of him jumping in after it after he realizes what he has done?
