What is every ones opinions of this rod.
I have an 8ft St Croix Avid Heavy, 7ft 6 inch St Croix Avid and a 7ft 6inch Team Daiwa Musky(and no I won’t sell this rod). THe Avids are Heavy rated and I was looking for a little more give in the tip for top water and bucktail. I have a Curado 300 to put on top of this new rod. The 7’6″ Avid is a jerkbait rod. The Daiwa is used for light bucktails , small top water and small cranks. The 8 ft Avid throws the big stuff. Have a Shimano 400 Calcutta on it. Looking for a 4th set-up. I know the Shimano is rated heavy but the rod I picked up at the local fun shop seemed to be a little more flex in the tip. I think the St Croix tapers are a little stiffer for comaparable rod ratings in general. Anyone fish the Compre and wondering success what the thoughts are. Has anyone broken this rod. They seem to good to be true at that price point of $109 and an over the counter rod replacement warranty.
