had some spare time on sunday so decided to do a little fishing, really didn’t feel like taking the boat out (to many pleasure crafts and felt a little lazy) so i rounded up some friends and headed down towards etter to do some northern fishing on the vermillion river.
armed with a couple of buckets of creek chubs, over sized bobbers, lawn chairs, a few cold ones , and the twins on the radio we were all set. upon arriving and getting set up it became apparent it was hot out so the key to staying comfortable was to do as little as possible (see lawn chair and cold ones). we fished from about 1 oclock till about 5. between 5 of us we land 6 northerns and one large mouth bass. the northerns were nothing special but we did have 2 over 30 inches. we did have many more bites but hay thats fishing. i had not fished in this manner for quite some time, it has always be get in the boat and go, go, go.
this was a very refreshing change of pace. one of my more enjoyable days fishing this year even though i only caught 1 fish.
P.S. sorry no pictures, my camera was melfunctioning (someone made the comment “operator error”)
