Did you mean Pontoon Snaggers? (6-10 lines out going 5- 6mph in 3-6 feet of water)

Those pontoon trollers are out there everyday all day long. They don’t stop the boat if they get one on and they kill (drown) the fish by dragging them going 5-6 mph. They don’t stop the boat because of the 6 lines they use, the lines will get tangled. I would rather tangle lines than kill fish, but obviously thet don’t care if they kill them. We need to get rid of the pontoon trollers, anyone have any ideas???lol

They cant troll to long if their pontoons dont float Maybe somebody could get ready for deer season a little early and see if they can hit a target going that fast. Or just drill a hole in their pontoon in the middle of the night

I am glad I didnt get booted for my first post about these folks.

My Cabin is on the North End. Its the only place I fish. I have seen some awful stuff being done by those pontooners. Dead fish, bad sportsmanship, bad boat manners etc.

My favorite latest @##$% thing one of them did is to troll in and around me and another boat in less than three feet of water. His planer board was 4ft from my boat! He proceeded to swerve betweeen all of the boats casting the sand! I just would never have the balls to do something that rude.

Being the tough guy that I am . . . I gave him the ole’ stink eye and did nothing.

I was up there last weekend on the north end and experienced the pontoon trollers. I don’t fish Mille Lacs much, and couldn’t believe these guys. It didn’t matter what anyone else was doing, they just plowed through. Maybe its just me, but I just haven’t seen the best boating etiquette when it comes to pontoons, no matter what body of water I’m fishing.

the tooners do catch alot of fish. but someone killing fish like that says they dont care at all about the fishery they are fishing, nor about the sport of catching fish in the future, plus they dont care about the people around them. anyone know if they are still stocking mille lacs w/ muskie. i believe they quit stocking it awhile ago now. why would they quit stocking it. i would imagine that lake is on a huge downward swing if they are not stocking it. anyone???

Before you go on a rant you might want to check your facts. They are stocking Mille Lacs every other year. You can get all of those answer on the DNR website. Just click on Lakefinder then just select the year and county and it will tell you everything stocked in that county.

And the stocking program is working. Was up on the north end recently and did very well with big fish, but also put some smaller fish in the boat.
