Chippewa Flowage

The gal and I are spending a few days over the fourth of July up on the Chipp. In between chasing bass, I want to throw for a muskie or two. Does anyone have some advice on what to throw, colors, depths, strutcure, or anything in general. I only muskie fish about twice a year and I only catch them on accident when bass fishing, so my knowledge is pretty limited.

    I appreciate any help, thanks,

I fished the chip for the first time a few weeks ago. It looks fishy everywhere. Cast Shallow raiders to the shallows, or concentrate on river channels with deeper stuff. There is something to be said about getting off the beaten path. The water is stained so I use brighter stuff but we didn’t raise anything last time.

Check out this link, about the fifth report down is a thread for the Chippewa Flowage with Ty Sennett. He is one of the areas better muskie guides and you could probably spend some time there doing some research or even post to him and see what he might say!!!

A little further down are Hayward threads, check those out too.
