Channel Five reported a young boy biten by a (reportedly) tiger muskie last night and this morning.

I looked like one gash might need stitches….

So, my question is, how much does it cost to get a boy to use as bait?

I have to give credit when credit is due…I’ve never heard of a flathead catfish attacking anyone…although I witness a fella getting slapped in the face by a channel cat once.

For the record I believe Catfish have killed more backwoods “Suthern” Noodlers than any other fish on the planet. I doubt it was a musky that bit this kid, I got my money on a pike, they don’t have much class, or taste for that matter.

hey now do not be pick on the pike. Just because they are meaner then a musky and will eat anything that is in front of them. Does not make them a fish with out class. They are just miss under stood. If we would just catch them and give them a big hug mybe they would not be so mean. They all way get the blame. I bet it was one of those nasty bass or walley or it could have been a sunny. They bite me in the leg once while swimming.

On rare occassion, beaches on large WI waters have evacuated beaches upon sighting a large muskie in the area. While pike is also a remote possibility, there’s more data supporting the aggressions of large muskies, indicating that this too is more likely to be a ski. A tiger perhaps? Who knows. But even large pike get spooked by human presence. Muskies just don’t care. They’re the boldest fish I’ve ever encountered!

Hey Bri……. Flatheads are for guys who wish bass grew bigger!

Kind of like the old wives tale of the fishermen on Mille Lacs. While Muskie fishing the two saw a lady wildly waving her hands and yelling that a big fish just came up and ate her dog. Both men yelled at the same time “what color was your dog” as they fumbled through their tackle boxes.
