How big is that Monster???
Nice catch Mike! Now you’ll just have to start trying to do this on purpose!
The first picture is the first Muskie I have ever caught on a top water bait, the strike made for a quick rev on the heart The fish was released um-harmed except for a nick he received during the battle. I believe it happened when he had me doubled over and was under the boat
The second fish came off a 16″ sucker on my home made quick strike rig.
Nice job Brett. Those are a couple of nice looking fish. Congrats. Did you get measurements on either of them?
Rollin left her with a few marks, nothing deep, just marked her up a little
Nice one Bob,
Dawg? Looks late in the evening, or is it just the photo.

Well whats a few battle scars between friends I think it’s more a muskie badge of courage and just builds charachter. Good job Bob
Went out from 7:00 to 4:00 on Saturday.
We fished shoreline structure/breaks for a good portion of the day with nothing seen. Water was extremely stained. Probably because of the heavy rains for the last month. Switched to midlake structure/rocks and had some action Fishing partner boated one legal (didnt measure it) on a black and orange M and G spinner bait and I missed two nice strikes. One felt pretty good. Unsure of water temp or turnover condition, but the sun was out and wind was blowing 5-10 of the southwest.
Here are a couple nice release shots of a 46″ I caught two weeks ago.
Metro,
Thats an awesome release picture. Very nice.
If I had posted a picture like that, my buddies would be giving me a hard time – asking me if I had been working out to pose for a picture like that.
Guts,
Thats one heck of a way to start muskie fishing. Nice fish.
Nice fish guts!!! I cant believe that guy next to you was involved in helping you catch a muskie. He never catches anything.
First pic that I have been able to get by myself this year. Finally got a cradle to take the fish (38″) from the net to cradle while I get my stuff ready to take the pic. Now all I have to do is roll ’em on their side. After the large fish that I caught and couldn’t get pics or measurements from, I got the cradle the next day. With another person and the right conditions, I might even try to cradle it first. This fish was caught a 400 acre lake, northern WI, finally clearing up after a long period of bloom, 50* water temp and took a Giant Shad Rap being ground into rock in three feet of water at 7:15 Sat. night. Moonrise was 6:24 p.m. and sky was partly cloudy. Last night in MI, one fish at the boat deep weed edge, smart guy would have gone back at the rise (7:11) but wasn’t smart last night after cutting a couple of loads of wood. Just enjoyed the troll…
