    But i’m heading back out today for open water in a very chilly 15 degree November day. I was sure with the cold temps last night and yesterday the lake would be hard but with a quick drive by I was able to observe almost zero ice on my lake. It will be a cold one but I sure hope it is worth it. The lakes will be locked up by weekend up here in ely with many people out ice fishing this weekend on smaller shallow lakes. Stay safe everybody weather it’s open or hard water.

    Hope you had better luck than I did on the river this morning. One sheepshead. It was really nice out with the no wind, post results!!

    Sorry he late reply, I ended up breaking a lot of ice and trolling circles around the open water left in the lake! It was rough so I decided to call it early and buy something good for dinner to warm my bones! Last day is usually brutal and this time the fish beat me.
