Found this one dead while smallmouth fishin on Mille lacs yesterday. It looked like it might have only been dead a day or so. Might have gotten hit by a boat

It went 53 inches and 50 lbs. very awesome to even hold it.

That’s the second dead one found in the past week that I’ve heard of A 54 inch 27 inch girth was found opening weekend. That one is being mounted and put on display at Portside .

Why doesn’t Marc post here anymore? Did he say what he did with it? Was there a reason why he said it might have gotten hit by a boat? What did he do with it?

The bass bite was great as was the walleye bite. Got most of em pitching swimming grubs reeled in reeeeeaaaaal slow. Walleye seem to be shallow and are looking to eat. Look for transition areas from reed beds to rocks or sand
