    Hello IDO,
My buddy caught a 48″ and a 46″ out of Crooked lake in Coon Rapids, does anyone else fish this lake?
It seems like a strange lake to have Muskies in it, and the DNR website does not list any muskies in the lake. I have heard from a few others that some locals put muskies in there years ago and they have thrived.

There have been reports of people pulling Muskies through the ice in the winter.

It’s a pretty hush hush deal though, I am sure your buddy will be thrilled you posted this. HAHA

Weird, two of the above posters just registered today…

Anyway, isn’t Crooked connected to the Mississippi? I don’t doubt there are muskies in there. Channel cats too!

I registered right after I read this post. I have never had a reason to post on here before, but always enjoyed reading the forums.

And you are correct…there are huge cat’s in there also!

There’s a few in there… Just like a few in some other metro lakes that aren’t managed for muskies.

These invasive species just keep on spreading.

Heck. I’ll even offer up another one about a mile from my house. Silver Lake in Columbia Heights has a small population. Go get ’em. Just be nice to them.
