Does anyone know what the water temps are like on some of the lakes in the Park Rapids area? I’m going to be there this weekend and if the water temps aren’t too bad, I was thinking about pulling the boat with me and chasing some muskies.

Or do you know the names of any bait shops in the area that might know a little more info?

    Thanks.

Water temps were around 78-80 degrees on the clear lakes this weekend.

    Thanks for the updates.

I’ll be staying at a friend’s place a few miles outside of Lake George. I’ve never fished the area before and he doesn’t fish. Does anyone know of any muskie lakes near there?

What should I be careful of? Are there boulders there or something? Overzealous AIS inspectors? Love-starved mermaids?

I haven’t had a chance to look at it on the GPS lakemap yet, but based on the DNR map, Mantrap looks like a pretty big, complicated lake and I’m only going to have one morning to fish.

Are there any areas I should key on? I’m not asking for secret spots or anything, just types of structure that typically hold fish on that lake.
