Favorite baits for river muskies

    Caught my first muskie last year throwing cranks for eyes. Now i got it in my head to head to go back up on the upper croix with some heavier gear and target them. I don’t have much for big baits now but figured id pick some up before heading out tomorrow.

    10 in jakes are great, slammer makes some good cranks, or just call up at thorn bros they can also lead you in right direction

    Small bulldawg-walleye or sucker pattern. #5 musky killler. Any color as long as it’s black!

    Thorne bros got me setup with a few different baits. Winging is what i do best. It should be a fun boat ride running rapids if fishing losses my interest.

    Have done well with any of the larger mepps inline spinners, you don’t have to go real big on the baits on the upper croix to target them. Just be careful tho, as water levels are crazy high now! Good luck
