Just wondering if anyone had any luck? I fished the Hayward area pretty hard, had a bunch of lazy follows with no fish in the boat.

Fished Amery area, had a lot of action but not a lot of hook ups. We fished there for 2 days…..had about a dozen follows a lot of little ones. I caught this one on a mini bull dawg and another low 20’s. My little brother caught his first musky and it was a whopping 24″. Overall a great 2 days of fishing!!!

Fished the Cornell Flowage/Fisher River area in early am. Nothing doing. Switched to SM Bass in the river below Holcombe, and saved the day.

We fished Yellow Lake and it was slow. We moved 2 fish in the afternoon and caught one that maybe hit 20 inches but it was a musky. Hopefully this weekend and the MN opener will be better for us. It was my first time fishing yellow but we fished every type of lure at every depth.. We narrowed down location to the 4-8 ft flats that had green weeds but with the wind blowing it made things tough.

I fished a Hayward lake for about 3 hours on Saturday morning. Saw two fish, one of which was hooked for a few brief moments by my buddy. Looked to be about a 3 footer. The rest of the weekend was more of a family affair,.. it really brought us close together dodging rain storms all weekend.

I had a couple of guide trips planned for Western Wisconsin this week but one of them moved out and we pushed the other off till Friday due to this cold front. Should have some reports this weekend… Might do something in WI on Saturday as well to avoid opening day crowds in MN.
