Would anyone be interested?

I’m looking for a pike fisherman that would be interested in testing a lure I am working on. All I ask is that you toss it for a bit and give me an honest opinion on how it fishes and if it catches anything. I need someone that is pretty experience in pike and can give me an honest review compared to other brands. I’m looking to see how these hold up to multiple fish and if they fit the criteria of a toothy chaser before I start offering these for sale. I cant think of a better place to find this person than right here on IDO.

It is an inline spinner I have come up with that is based off musky design but downsized for pike/big bass. It is about 3/4oz and has #6 blade. It is made on musky wire, with #6 glow in the dark blade, a flashabou skirt with a replaceable VMC 2x-strong treble on a split ring. I wont post pictures because this is not an advertisement, but if that sounds like something you would be interested in throwing then drop me a line.

I’m sure a small musky would even take a bite out of it, but I wouldn’t consider it big enough to be a musky lure.

The lure will retail for about $10 so I can not afford to give a ton away- so I ask that you send me a PM and tell me where you fish and how often.. I will send a reply to the person best qualified to test for me and send your lure right out. USA only please.. I dont want to mess with customs. No charge here, I will pay everything.

I would give it a try. I am an avid multi-species angler and love trying out new lures.

I also would love to give it a try! I fish pool 2, the St.Croix, and also fish about a dozen local metro twin cities MN lakes.

My dad and i go up to Canada every year. If you wanted us to give it a shot i would be more than happy to help you out! Does it have a weed protector? there are emergent weeds everwhere so that may be difficult

I’m always ready to try new lures. This season I’ve got a week in late may or early June and then a fall trip at the end of September. Both of these will be 80/20 focused on pike as the primary and on the north arm of Rainy.

My fishing partner and I carry an assortment of lures including inline spinners with some of them homemade. No guarantees on success but we would be happy to run it through the paces.

FYI – last fall the difference between wishing and catching was switching from a willow blade to an Indiana on an indentical Mepps musky killer bucktail. Two days later it was a jointed floater and the bucktail was past history. We’re always trying to find the pattern

I know I would be interested in helping you out… I bet AJ Wiesner would too..

I fish pike and muskies a lot. At my cabin a buck tail/ inline spinner that size would be perfect for pike.

PM me if you want me to try it out..

These were caught on spinner baits.. Bass size ones.. I think 1/2 oz.. so I throw smaller stuff all the time..

My brothers and I have our own tournament for one weekend every June and it consists of 90% northern fishing. If you think I’d be a good candidate, I’d be more than happy to give you a minimum of 12 hours with it and report back.

I also do a lot of muskie fishing and in the spring, smaller lures seem to do the trick. So I can test it out then.

You bet! But that is what I like about this site, plenty of people willing to try a new bait (and get free stuff).
