went out last week with a few ido members on a central mn lake and did pretty good getting 4musky in 3 days. these fish were shallow on weed turns near baitfish. the best fish we got was 48.5 but all4 were packin some fall weight ALREADY! all fish were on bucktails and 1 good hit on a topwater. all fish were caught on peak times of day or weather changes also…..this was key. also these fish were spot on the spot as we got multiple fish on the same spots. i’ll be back out at it hard this weekend and early week so wish me luck on a good report back! haha keep casting and good luck2 all!

Thanks, just kind of solidifies potential patterns and our large lakes in northern WI are right around 60*, the smaller bodies of water I am sure are colder, but until turnover comes, I will be on my favorite big lake just out my back door.

good luck benson! we have been looking shallow lately with the water temp dropping…..MOST of the fish have been in the 3-8ft range and the weeds grow pretty deep on this lake but there is an inside edge at about 4ft. so don’t be afraid to look shallow! also work the prime times of sun set and sun rise and moon set and moon rise.

Heading out shortly and staying through whatever the moon is doing at 5:30 until just after dark or maybe even later depending on the rain.
