Alex and I spent a few days hucking baits up at the cabin. We made two trips out and he stuck his second fish of the year @ 43 and a new PB. We had 3 other boats around watching as Alex worked his fish to the net, pretty cool! I also got in on the action with a 44.25 a day earlier. We were marking a lot of suspended bait out off the deep weed points. Both fish came on rubber worked off the deeper edges.

Prior to getting Alex’s ski in the boat we helped out some gals that had major motor problems. Alex learned a thing or two about doing the right thing and what goes around comes around. Lastly noted in our conversation as we pulled these gals back to thier cabin, were the “Muskie Gods”. I told Alex that we would be rewarded for helping them out with a big old lunge and the Gods did not let us down. I have to be honest, I can’t imagine life without my kids, it’s the small events in life like this that make it all worth while. Watching them learn and knowing that they are making the right decisions make it very rewarding. Catching Ski’s it pretty sweet too

Along with the life lessons I would say dad is going to get a bunch of practise with the camera.
Just remember dad………at some point you will be telling Alex “I taught you everything you know about Muskie fishing, but not everything I know!”
