I run mason steel/crome alloy from thorne bros. in 124-313lb. I dont use swivels or spit rings I tie directly to my loop on the wire, unless im running bucktails then I add a barrel swivel. just make sure when u wrap the wire its clean so it won’t cut your line(round nose pliers and end cutters)this is more so on your gliders and jackpots the line will sometimes get slack and get caught behind your loop and fray it. i suppose you could add shrink tube behind the loop if your worried. i just check and retie.

I use 100% Floro now and make my own in both 130# and 200#. I have been through them all and even the titanium will eventually break at the loop from repeated casting. I have had super luck with florocarbon. I use the 200# for anything jerk bait related, or 4+oz lures.

I double sleeve both ends, use BB Swivels and Stay Lock snaps similar to these.

If you want to know a cheap way rather than spending $60+ on 25′ of floro, buy a few of these 60″ leaders and cut them apart to make multiple 12-18″ leaders.
