I’m making my 1st trip to Lac Seul(Ear Falls area) the 1st week of June. Can anyone recommend good early season baits for Lac Seul. Obviously, they’ve spawned out but I’m still expecting them to be somewhat shallow. I’ve got more muskie baits than my wife will ever know , but will these be too big. Will trolling 6″ Jakes/casting smaller bucktails etc be too big this time of year?

i have never been to lac seul in particular but i can say that the pike on the sippi are eating musky baits all day long rite now. inhaler bucktails and hellhound gliders have been the ticket and some spoons but bucktails are hot rite now on p4. 6in. jake got a 19in. smallie the other day 2! good luck and report back some pics!

post spawn they will have the feed bag on, so any big tube or swim bait will work in the shallows

I have been there a few times and in Ear falls. I am yet to catch a small northern on that lake. Big is good! The group I go with will be up there at that exact time. good luck!
