went fishing in lake city yesterday and the walleys didn’t cooperate. decided 2 head south and get some pike action and boy it didn’t dissapoint. went to the mailbox spot and instantly tied up with a beast (42+) but got off at boatside. didn’t think i would get a second chance but i was wrong! got a 38.25in jack on my secret santa clause bucktail. all i can say is merry christmas boys and girls! this fish was sitting rite on a backwater wingdam with weeds close by. good end of pike season now time for some muskie action next month!

walleye9- if your going for walleye/sauger i would fish around the other boats and use lindy rigs with crawlers or leeches. or try trolling rapalas but make sure u are going slow. if we went too fast we didn’t get bit. and for pike as i said the weeds are coming up in some backwater spots. try daredevils and spinners in white/black or black/orange. try to find thick patches in 2-6ft.
