Been a long time since I fished Milacs, but thinking of trying to get up there soon.
It used to be one of the better spots for Musky’s was the bays on the south end of the lake, used to be Jack’s Twin bay resort was and whatever bay was next to it.

    That still seem about right?

On any given day muskies can be found in the bays, on the north end sand break, on the rocks, on the mud, on the dinner plate of someone from the rez… It has been tough fishing up there the last couple years in the summer. The smart money is on the migration to the basin to chase the booming tullibee population. How you fish 100,000 acres of open water is your call.

So, the short answer is yes.

i would think the best time would be in the spring fishing in the bays b4 they go out to the mid-lake. but the BEST time is in the fall when the cisco are in predictable rock spots spawning. the summer may be slow 4 the reasons dan said… i’m looking to get up there this year a few times also. good luck allen keep me posted if u go!

Thanks guys, used to hit the bays in late fall and did well for both musky’s and northerns.

You can spend a lot of time going from spot to spot on that lake, would like to keep it down to maybe one end of it..:)

Wies, I’ll need a partner when I go, keep in touch..:)
