got a chance to share the boat with a good friend yesterday late afternoon! We decided to leave the trout alone for the day and give P4 a shot for my favorite of all fish! The pike! Let me tell you it was a good choice for the day!

We took the little boat to save on gas! right from the get go the fish were on fire! I don’t know how many fish we got cuz we lost count fairly quick! we did keep 8 perfect stringer fish! 25″-27″ rolled one absolute giant of a fish! well over 45″ and landed a couple real nice ones! The water levels and temps are perfect right now for the big pike in the back waters! this is a fairly short window of opportunity each spring! If your looking for some fast action on some real nice fish! again we let go a dozen fish in the mid to upper 30″ range! one in the mid 40’s

Ill be working all weekend so go get em!

Keep only a few good eaters and let the rest go for the rest of us!

    Good fishing!

My last spot tonight on pool 6 rewarded me with a 42″ pike with a girth like my leg (and I’m a big guy).

It took my swim jig right at the boat and I swear that fish was 8″across its back. Man it was a heavy fish! My personal best by a long shot. Sorry no camera along.
