Anyone use these baits? I was thinking of adding one or both to my bag of tricks for Pike in Lac Seul this June.

i have seen linders use the sub walk and get muskie in small rivers. looks like an awesome bait but i have a glidin rap and it’s not a very easy glider to use. may need lighter line and lighter leader to get the right action. i prefer hellhounds, manta’s and phantoms over the glidin rap. hope this helps some…

I was wondering the same thing. I was dead set on picking up a gliding rap, may be reconsidering.

Trapsht- for what its worth I have used the sub walk a lot for largmouth/pike and the bait its self has great action. For me it works best on a fast action spinning rod with lots of slack given for the bait to glide. I have done well on both species using it over weed edges on days that are topwater days but too windy to effectively use a top water baits. Hope this helps.

I believe that the current issue of In-Fisherman that has BK’s second catfish story in it has a discussion of these baits as well.

I picked up a Glidin Rap yesterday..seems like it is a little less aggressive than the SubWalk. I don’t know if this is necessarily good or not, we’ll see.

Glidin Rap has been my go to lure for pike in Canada the last 2 years. Especially early in the year a little more subdued glide seems to work great. It also has a good “roll” when paused and falling. I am going give the subwalk a little more of a work out this year to compare.
