    From Peter:

The MN Muskie and Pike Alliance website is a link to a Voter Voice system allowing you to send a message and basically send a vote to the State’s legislators on fish and game issues being tracked by the Alliance.

    Here are the instructions :
    go to http://www.mnmuskie.org/

First register then look for and click on the flashing rectangular “Esox Action Center” box in the home page. You may have to scroll down to find it. Follow the “Esox Action Center” link which allows you to give feedback to our legislators. Currently there are three issues that you can vote and send a message on 1- Not to remove Pikie slot limits on 60 MN lakes, 2-Increasing the cost of fishing licenses, and 3- Lifting the band on spearing on Cass Lake.

The MN Muskie and Pikie Alliance works hard to protect our fish and game resources please take the time to voice or support using the “Esox Action Center” it only takes a couple of minutes. Please forward this to your fishing and hunting friends.

    Thanks for you help.

    Peter

Brian, thanks for posting this. I sent my e-mail and got a immediate response from Dayton & Hansen.

This is something all Pike & Muskie guys need to watch. Trophy Pike in this state are becoming as common as well…………..common sense in the government.

Take a minute guys and respond to this.

Maybe some guys really are reading the e-mails!!
    Got this reply yesterday.

    Dear Brian,

Thank you for the e-mail regarding pike legislation. I always appreciate hearing from my constituents.

I am currently discussing this issue with my colleagues in the Senate and Environment Committee as well as listening to constituent opinions. I am not familiar with the details of this topic and I believe that it is important to research and construct an informed position prior to voting.

Again, thank for taking the time to write to me. Please feel free to contact me again if you have further suggestions or questions on this or any other legislative issue.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

Thanks for posting this Brian, MMPA is working hard to keep Muskie fishing in MN the best of the best and keep what we have for Pike going. Far too many people consider Pike a garbage fish.
