I have a opportunity at a eskimo 6120. But looking at otters website I think it’s saying the otter resort is almost 20 square feet bigger 101 vs 80sq. Just looking to see if some guys have fished outta both and is there a noticible difference?
I have never fished out of the eskimo 6120 but website specs do suggest its a bit smaller than the otter resort. Otter is 131″ hub to hub where the eskimo is 122″. Both hubs say they can fish 6+ people, however myself personally would never want to fish with more than 4 people unless you want to only fish 1 hole each. If you can get the eskimo for a good deal i don’t think the smaller size would be that big of a deal. check out L&M supply they seem to be cheaper than most other vendors.
I do own the otter resort and have nothing but good things to say about it. set up and take down takes only a minute or two, and i have not had any issues with hubs, poles or zippers in the over 2 years ive owned it. The otter has additional tie down straps on each corner down closer to the ice which really help if you plan on using the hub on windy days.
If you ever want to spear go with the eskimo the black inside fabric blocks out more light than the grey fabric inside the otter does. The grey inside fabric also shows up dirt and what not more than the black fabric inside the eskimo.
