Should be a great time, looking forward to it!
Thanks for coming along Koonce. We have a great group going out again this year and plan to enjoy every minute while we are out there!

I am so pumped to see that first planer board take her first dive and the infamous scream mili-seconds later…”Fish On!” and then a and then for the picture!

    Jason,
You have to come on up and visit us for a little Nick’s roadhouse re-union!

    Hook,

Where are you guys staying this year? If I remember correctly, you stayed at the resort that was just down the road from the Catawba state park a couple years ago?

Not sure of the name of the place, we rented condo’s for the week. Out by or on the freeway is what i’ve heard. Wasn’t my responsibility, i’ve got menu and grocery detail. Man are we going to eat good!

    8? Are you sure it’s 8??? I’m only able to count 6.

Well, however many…………. I suspect I’ll see some pics with you and a bevy of 14 to 17lb hogs in the not-too-distant future!

OOHHH Boy, this week is taking forever!
    5 days and rolling!
Water temps are in the low to mid 40’s right now which sets things up nicely for a good trolling bite in the Western Basin. I have one day off of guiding before we go to Erie. I sure hope I can get all my packing done in a hurry!

Koonce, you have your kidney belt ready to roll?

Keep it down in the Cheap Seats boys unless you have something to say!
The Alumacraft will do just fine. And if I swamp it….Well, that will be a damn good excuse to buy a Ranger.
Although I heard about a few of those that went down on occasion last year too!

Just got back from the Erie trip. What a blast. Found some really nice fish pulling reef runners and Husky Jerks behind boards.
    Here’s a 30 incher that liked a Husky jerk.

Yes, we were only out there for a couple of days and got lucky that we were able to fish in great weather the whole trip.
I’ll post more pics as I get them from the guy who took them all.

    Mike,

Glad you guys got into some nice fish as well.
I thought you guys were going to hang around that area so we could chit chat a bit, but must have missed each other.
You guys timed it just right as the beginning of the week was bumpy and brutal!

Here’s a couple more Lake Erie minnows that were CPR’d

It’s really weird putting the knife to a 25 or 26 inch fish, but if you don’t you go home with nothing to eat.

Steve, after we saw you, we moved out to a mud line and caught some good fish, I tried to call you again to find out what marine channel you were on, but my cell was acting up.

I know it would be completely inappropriate, but darn funny to share the photo of your buddy chumming. I shouldn’t laugh, I’ve never been on water that big before.

    Hey Mike,

Your net Bi#%$ here. It was a spetacular weekend and the boys from Iowa will certainly return the favor and share the bounty this fall in the feilds. I thought I would throw out the pic of the two wall hangers that went back to Iowa held by our photography staff on Saturday evening.

    Mike,

Im glad to see your willing to sink my Alumatub. You keep the right company. But, does that mean your replacing it with a new Ranger or am I relying on insurance again?
