What do you use to store your plastics in?

As of now I am using zip loc bags and a tupperware container. There has to be some better options. I like to be able to see what I am grabbing from the outside. Also I like having one for K-grubs, one for paddle tails etc. etc. I also have pouches that zip with individual bags inside for each color – probably the best option I have found. Just wondering what other ideas are out there. Thank You for any input.

I got a couple of those 8×10 2 ring binders that have the velcro tounge and extra bags to store mine in.They are zip-loc bags with metal eyelets.BPS Cabelas Scheels carries them.7-8 dollars for the binder with 10 bags and the extra bags are like 2.10 for 10 bags

I’ve found the less I touch my gear, the easier it is to stay organized. Keep it all in the original bags then store in a labeled, soft tackle bag

I like small plastic tubs, you can buy them just about anywhere. About the width of a bag of plastics, you can stick about 30-40 bags in each and easily stack the containers. They fit nicely in boat storage compartments. Take a sharpie to the top and you can easily identify what sits in each one. I think I a box each for creature baits, super flukes, lizards, frogs, regular worms and so on.

I got sick of guessing which worm wrap I needed. The tipping point came when I left the wrong wrap at home…

I use 3700 boxes (lots of them) and they work great.

    That looks pretty interesting….

Only problem I see it ONLY HOLDS 40 Bags, that takes up a considerable amount of space for that few.

I separate ringworm’s, paddle tails etc into bigger ziplocks then store in kitty litter box. Has to hold at least 200 bags of plastics.

I have been using the Plano Liqua Bait Locker/Wallet and I have been happy with it. The plastics fit in there upright and I can fit quite a few packages. You can see through it to know what you have in the box and I can seperate my gulp into one of these and not have to worry about stink/juice accidentally leaking out.

I have seen where you store the plastics in the original re-sealable bag and then they are clipped onto some sort of storage devise that is attached to the bottom side of a boat compartment lid. When you want a bait you lift the compartment lid and they are right in front of you. For the life of me I can not find them. Anyone else ever see these?

I just picked up a few at Gander in E.C. They were on sale. Got them both for around $22. All the plastics are in them now and then I just clip them to my main box and I’m off to the lake.

I have tried a lot of different things, and keep ending up back at keeping them in the original bags and storing the bags in tupperware type containers. I get the size that is just wide enough and tall enough to fit the bags standing up. They fit in boat storage well and I can keep at least one bag of every color of every plastic that BFT makes in two tupperware containers.

This is what I do to. Dont really care for soft side tackle bags. The zippers seem to warp and fail on them. They also dont seem to be as water proof as a container. Let your plastics get wet and sit in water for a week and they will be shot.

You have to be talking about the Cook’s Tackle system

Amen! I’ve tried all the others shown above…I get 9 sections of about 24 of any of the BFT plastics per Plano box. They fit perfectly in my Crestliner storage bins…1 box each of 216 light plastics and 216 dark plastic colors (X) Ringies, Paddle tails, K Grubs, SuperDoos, Blades, H20 jigs and Dean’s secret stuff (Drag Queens) etc… I have about 20 Walleye Planos and 20 Bass Planos…They all fit nicely in storage racks next to my boat in the garage.

After smashing my last two tupperwears, I put mine in gallon freezer bags. I have 4, light ringies, dark ringies, paddle tails, and moxies. You can see through the bags and I have not had trouble locating what I want yet. Cheap and you can stuff them in places a bin won’t fit in.
