Boys, got the Terrova 60″ 80# w/I-pilot this Monday from Jolly Ann Marine. Let me say that between JA pricing, the JA rebate on this motor and MinnKota rebates I was able to get my Minnkota 2 bank charger free and then some. Great to deal with JA too.

    24v
    60 breaker
I am pbobly going to use 8ga braid wireing. Nothing less.

I am having trouble finding plug ins I find acceptable in quality. Is there any issue using a 20a residential style with the one flat prong?

However, I would rather use a 30a RV style twist lock.

Is there a place near Blaine that you KNOW sells this style for marine aplications or is Residential/automative fine?

Open to other plugs too but quality and locking are at the top of my list.

    Thanks, Mark

I can’t wait to see how well it pulls that Alum Tiller around. You should be able to pull a water skier.

I’ve got the “Ranger” style plug on mine. It’s not a locking plug, but it is so snug in there I can’t imagine it ever coming out accidentally-heck, it’s a chore to unplug it.

As for quality, it is top notch. Solid build and weathertight. The only downside is that it’s a bit bulky and sticks out farther than I’d prefer.

There is a place right off of University Ave near where I work that’s worth a shot… Pretty sure they have a good selection of trolling motor accessories.

Fish Electronics or Hallberg Marine should have what your looking for…
If you need some one to hold a beer while your drilling holes in your boat, let me know.

I buy the 240volt 60 or 80amp twist lock 4 prong from Menards. It will carry way more amps then any trolling motor can draw, and way cheaper then a marine plug. These have been what I have been using since way backin the 70`s. I used to have problems burning up the marine plugins.

I would go to Capras right there on Central Ave. They are a certified Minnkota dealer/service center. They should have exactly what you need. When it comes to boats I buy everything marine grade. It might cost a little more but its better then having issues on the water and ruining a day.
