Newb I need help

    hi, brand new to this. I have gotten a 17ft Lund from my dad. it has a 75hp Mariner outboard. I dont know the year. question: How can i get more power/speed out of it?

    Welcome to the site.

    I run a 1750 Navigator with a 75hp yamaha. It gets around 35mph. Some guys with similar rigs are getting closer to 40.

    What is the pitch of the prop? I assume it is aluminum. I had a 16’6” lund pro angler with a 75 hp yamaha and the best I could get was 38-39 MPH.

    In addition, what rpm’s are you running what speed are you seeing?
