Looking at putting a MinnKota Vantage 80lb 24volt on the back of my Lund Rebel. Anyone have one of these motors that can tell me how much room do I need to turn the lowerunit and prop around without lifting my outboard? Thanks

    Big Jon,
I don’t beleive you’d have any problem with a Vantage on the back of a Rebal. I had a large minn kota on the back of my rebal, and the vantage has way better features.
You get 4-1 steering meaning you won’t have to turn the handle as much either direction to acheive 180 degree prop turn which would help from hitting the chowling on main motor or having to reach way out other side of boat.
Another vantage of vantage is if you want to back troll, all you do is lift direction control on top of motor, turn it 180 degrees and now you are going backwardds with the handle in the same position as if it were going forward.
The power up and down is very nice also! You don’t have to have your motor tilted way up, or lifted straight up the shaft to have it out of the water.

I loved my Vantage on my last boat but now I have a Ranger 620 and just not a good fit.

I have a brand new, in the box 80-24V with warentee card if you have any interest. It’s a friends that asked me to sell on ebay. I beleive he wanted $850.00 and would garuantee for up to 30 days while you got installed and made sure everything was A-Okay.

May still help to ask a Lund dealer, but don’t think you’ll interfere with lower unit of main motor.

Not sure on the room of a Rebel. I have one on my 1825 ProGuide and love it. Just be sure and get the parking bracket for when the motor is up and stowed. It will prevent damage just in case the motor is mounted a tad to low.

Is the parking bracket you mention an after market option? Please reply with details.
