Trinadad – Adjusting the VBS

I have been having a heck of a time casting my Trinidad 16N. It will backlash just about every other time. (Using a dcg).
I have tightened the cast control knob as much as I can. I checked shimano.com and they suggested adjust the variable brake system. Problem is, the weights don’t seem to stay in place when I slide them outward.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What line are you using??? I was having trouble until I switched to a 130# coated suffix line and I got alot better.

I am using 80 lb power pro. Maybe I’ll try switching. Thanks for the idea.

I had 80# uncoated tuff line and couldn’t cast consistently so save my life! not saying that is the problem but worth a try.
