My Stren scale took a crap on me after 15+ years. What is a good scale at a good price? Thanks.

I would say you had a great scale. My Rapala digital took a crap after 15 minutes

I’m looking to, my first question would be does Stren still make a 15+ year model? That will be my pick if so!

Wow is Rapala getting a shellacking of late!

I checked Cabelas & Bass Pro and that Stren scale is no longer made.

I bought a X-TOOLS scale this spring. I love how easy it is to operate. Its the most accurate scale I’ve used. I use it to cull fish in tournaments and is completely waterproof and floats! It also has a boga grip type hanger that just doesn’t let go. Highly recomended!

I rarely weigh fish, but the few times I have my Rapala scale has worked pretty good. I also checked it against my calibrated scale at home and it’s within a couple ounces. For the money I don’t think they’re bad.

After playing with the scale…..found the memory does not work. Guess I have to drive 10 miles to take it back.

…And don’t buy the Rapala Heavy Duty wire cutters…another poorly made piece of equipment.

So, did it last longer than mine

I do like some of the Rapala products but there scales are bottom line in my book.
