Looking for some advice on New SS prop. I currently have a 13×19 aluminum prop turning over 6000 rpms at 41mph. 09 Yamaha 115 4 stroke on an 09 Alumacraft Navigator 175. I’m looking at maybe getting the Yamaha 13 1/4 X 18 performance SS prop. Would this be a good prop for this setup or has anyone tried any others? Thanks

13 1/4 X19 SS or ALuminum? What brand of prop?

Going to a stainless in the same diameter and pitch usually will drop 200 RPM`s. The reason for the drop is stainless has less slip.

I would check with propman he has a great try and exchange program. He set me up with a power Tech prop for my 182TS Crestliner and nailed it down first time. It is the best 3 blade prop I have run for grip and rough water.

    Maybe he will chime in.

Ar you not running way below your rated RPM`s? I thought the 115 Yamaha four stroke was closer to 6000RPM`s.

ditto. You will be able to make it more efficient by getting it closer to 6000 rpms. Not to mention more speed in most conditions.
