I tow my starcraft 17 foot superfisherman with a explorer and the best thing I did was put a set of rancho shock absorbers on it. I put adjustable shocks on the back and a reciever hitch on back. This seems to work just fine untill I can get that new ford f-150~~~~~~~~~~ snappin

All good tips Bill. Great things to think about this time of year. Keeps your mind off of the forecast!

Do you fellas know if there any issues with towing using a full time 4WD vehicle? I bought my first boat this winter and I drive a Grand Cherokee with Quadra Trac.
    Thanks.

My son Nate tows a Lund 1800 Pro V with a Chevy Astro AWD [ALL WHEEL DRIVE] Van with a transmission cooler on it and has had no problems. He bought the van used from a buddy who towed his 18 ft Crestliner boat with it back and forth to Mille Lacs and back and forth to diferent PWT Tournaments and had no problems. I also bought one last November and added a transmission cooler to it and it will be used as a tow vehicle but I haven’t towed yet as it took over a month to get the hitch set up for it and installed as it was on backorder and then came winter, but I expect no problems.
    Thanks, Bill

Hey thor is it a good idea to tow with a front wheel drive vehicle, I would think that a light load is ok but how much weight is too much?
