Saw this yesterday from ICast. Have been holding off on the power poles for my rig waiting to see how this turns out. Seem to be around the same cost as a power pole set-up. Someone please buy some and report out!

More info from another site, definitely slanted towards the Talon as it is on company letterhead… Info nonetheless.

I was thinking they are really missing some marketing on this product, last weekend we pulled up to a beach to beach the boat, and it was shallow enough I was 20′ from the shore kind of floating, a power pole /talon would be perfect for quick easy anchoring. I bet this product would be a huge hit for the rec crowd.

Or maybe you could mount a line release on the end of the pole and use it to troll 8-10 feet deep, lures like big Bucktail spinners or floating Rapalas. Hmmm…..

i saw larry dahlberg using the power pole to troll huge bucktails. he hooked the line to the pole and then put it down and when he came up shallow he would just lift it up a few foot. looks technical but how else are u going to troll a dcg?

prob a matter of preference. however with a powerdrive with ip you can’t have your foot pedal installed. and then the only other option is the terrova, which you actually can use the ip with your footpedal
