I am looking at putting together a leadcore set-up but am having trouble finding a left handed linecounter. I would like something in the quality/price range of a Sealine but have not had any luck. What would you guys suggest?

Also, feel free to add any input on trolling rods. I have looked at the other posts and have limited it down to a 8 ft telescoping but still haven’t decided on a brand. Are Cabelas 8ft telescoping rods any good? Thanks

I have the Cabela’s Depthmaster Gold in a left handed reel. Its the 30 or 35 model and I have 10 colors of leadcore on it. I use 9’6″ Mr. Walleye leadcore rods.

How do you like the reel? I have read some mixed reviews on it.

This is my first Depthmaster Gold and its working great still after about 10 uses. I’ve used a bunch of the Depthmaster II reels. I’ve had some good ones and some bad ones. For the price, I really can’t complain.

I have 8 depthmaster gold reels and some are better than others. Everything works great except for one or two of the line counters don’t always count correctly when they are spooling out if there is not enough pressure on the line. I know for a fact big fife loves how loud the clicker on them are as well

When I bought my first Sea Line I was worried I wouldn’t be able to adjust as even my bait casters are left handed. I now own 6 and am looking to add another pair to the tool box.

Once you get time on the water with them you will adjust quickly and won’t even think about it any longer.

I agree. I actually think it would be weird now (after buying and using a Sealine for a year) to use a left handed line counter, even though all my other reels are left handed.
