There’s a new handheld GPS on the market, the Lowrance iFinder Pro. This new iFinder is compatible with the Navionics Hotmaps and the off shore & river charts as well (Gold and Classic). These are very affordable (under $200) for those who don’t want to spend the extra money on a full size fixed-mount GPS, or for those who want a unit to be very portable. It also makes sense as a backup GPS for those running Navionics mapping on a full sized GPS. I personally like the looks of these so much that I ordered one for myself. I really like the fact that it comes with a free cigarette lighter adapter. I plan to use it for traveling too. From the preview images, the mapping looks very good. I’ll offer more information and a full review after I’ve gotten the chance to use the thing for a while.
