I went Galyans in Woodbury last night and purchased the Spinning Combo. The Stradic 2500FH and Shimano Rod,a 6’6 Med action, seemed like a great deal. Stillakid was right on in everything he wrote. The kids liked the new Walkie Talkies.

I just wanted to post that I am seeing differences between locations. Not all things are being offered the same between stores. I posted regarding my visit to the Woodbury location but there is a little different deal at Hopkins Crossroad (and 394). Mention the deals at the other store and they’ll honor it but the H.C. location has a LOT more things on clearance! I can’t guarantee all items because they might be a hot item or low in stock but I will report what I found and you can always call in advance.

I fell victim to the rumors and got suckered into making the trip to the Minnetonka store as well. walked away with 2 Shimano symetre 1000’s (reg $84.99/now $69.99/ea), 1 Shimano Stradic 1000 (regular price) and 2 Shimano baitcaster combos ($99.00/ea) The combo came with a low end 6’6″ medium action rod! Not bad seeing if you had bought the reel alone, it would have coasted you $119.00!

They did have a good selection of Quantum kinetic spinnin reels for $14.99 (reg 69.99) These appeared to be good ice fishing reels as they looked as though they were a size smallerthan the 1000 standard models?
