Pontoon prop help

    Need some help finding the right prop for the family pontoon. 20 foot benington with a 75 merc 2 stroke. has a 15 pitch on it now and only runs 3400 rpm with a heavy load and 3600 rpm by myself. WOT is to be 5250 for that motor. Tach show about 750 to 800 rpm at idle, so I think it is close to being on.
    Does any one run a pontoon close to this size and what are you running for a prop?

    Your best bet is to find a Merc dealer close-by that does the try-it prop from the Mercury website. Check to see if you have the Bigfoot motor for starters. From the way it sounds you may need a 9p or 10p prop. The dealer would be able to look at your set-up and start to get you in the right direction

    Put a 14 x 9 prop on it.
