I have a Yamaha F75 tiller and have had some intermittient starting issues. I turn the key, and nothing. After getting a tip (thanks Calvin) to shift it from neutral-drive-reverse a few times I can get it to turn over. Sounds like a neutral safety switch needs to be replaced. Anyone else benn down this road? Anything else come to mind I should be checking?

Had the samething with my 75. Put in a new switch and that took care of it. Mine is a 05 and had it replaced in 09. Dealer said they only last so long.

The neutral switched can be lubed. I took my 04 F90 in with the same issue. The tech. just lubbed the switch and said it was good to go.

I have a rattle in my F75 tiller sounds like its below the motor in the drive. It only does it at idle but in gear. Anyone else had this problem? I need to get it fixed but I just havent found time to be without the boat!

Mine just started doing it in the last 2 weeks. Really annoying. Is it an expensive fix?
