Polarized sunglasses for about $100

Just got a $100 visa gift card and want to get myself a decent pair of polarized sunglasses. I’ve looked at a few sport shows this spring with no luck, also checked at Gander Mountain…. I think Walmart has as good of a selection .

So I guess what I’m asking is what brands do you like and where did you pick them up at? Really uncomfortable shelling out this kind of $$$$ on something I can’t try on when internet shopping…

For $100, I have a pair of Bolle Rattlers. Had them for 4 years and the rubber nose piece was getting nasty, called their customer support to order the part, they sent me a free pair!!!!

They are light weight have rubber nose and ear pads so they don’t move around when sweating. I really like them for the price.

    My 2 cents.

At the local Fleet Farm, I picked up a pair of Sea Strikers (can’t remember the model) for 20 bucks. They are very light and very comfortable(and you can try on several pairs before deciding). With a young boy constantly with me who is prone to breaking things….lol, I can’t justify the expense of a $100 pair of shades. My vote goes for a cheaper pair and spend the rest of the C-note on tackle and gear.

When a company sends you out a replacement pair of $100 glasses for free without hesitation, that tells me that they are probably making a little more than enough profit off their product.

Check out Coyote Sunglasses. Very nice shades. They’re polarized, lifetime guarantee, and made in the good ol’
US of A. I would suggest that you swing by a Scheels or something like that to try on a pair. I got mine I thought at Gander Mountain, but perahps not. Their website is http://www.coyoteusa.com. I would suggest checking them out, I think they’re great. Usually run around 50 bucks a pair, but if you look online, you can sometime find a deal on them.

I looked for years to find a pair of sunglasses that met all my requirements for around $100 and my vote goes to the H3O Polorized Sunglasses. They are the only company I know of that gives you three different color tinted lenses, that are all Polarized. Other than being great shades they are also super comfortable. I’ve always struggled finding a pair of shades to fit my small head but they have a number of different sizes to fit almost any sized melon.

The owner is a great guy. If you did buy a pair and didn’t like em I’m sure he’d take em back no questions asked. If you want his direct email shoot me a PM.

Native. By far the best I’ve owned. I have had more expensive. They just did not hold up. Exchangeable lenses are great.

Costa del Mar for a little over $100 these are a bargin. You can see in the water far better than any other lenses I’ve tried.Go online and find a dealer near you to try them on.

One more question, what color…. I’ve only had gray tinted lenses before, is there a color that seems to work the best all around? I’m mainly looking for something to use in very bright conditions, like on snow ice fishing looking at my marcum. With the cheap pairs I’ve had so far I actually would have to look OVER them to be able to read my flasher…. I’ve tried really dark (oxy cutting) sunglasses too but they make everything too dark. I’ll definitly check out the ones already suggested. I have looked through a high $$$$ pair of Costa’s that worked perfect but no way can I blow $250 on a pair of glasses that those cost

Polorized glasses make most electronic displays hard to see.

Seems all the cheap (under $50) sunglasses I’ve tried distort my vision in
one way or another. I like SolarBat glasses. They’re mid-range priced, are
comfortable, stylish, and don’t alter my vision at all. Very nice.
Gray is mainly for bright sunny days, amber for gloomy overcast days. For
fishing though, I haven’t found that one color is better than another for
    seeing into the water.
Now as I approach my upper 40’s I think I need to look into those glasses that
offer the magnifier section in the lower part of the lens.

Best glasses that I have tried for under 100.00, try the mossback tint. I have a pair perched on my head as I type this.

Well ended up getting The H3O Storm angler package from Gander, hadn’t noticed them the other day when I was there. They were clearanced priced at $39.95 where I was seeing them online for $99 to $119 or so.. They come with a hard and a soft case, strap, and three sets of polarized lenses, amber, brown and grey. They could be a little darker but I think for the $$$$ I got the best deal. I also looked at some Natives too, and you couldn’t tell the difference between the H3O’s and a $145 pair of Natives…. So thanks for all the responses and at least Gander in Janesville still had a few more pairs of H3O’s left at the $39.95 clearance price if anyone else was interested .
