I am having some problems with my Garmin Etrex Legend. I just updated a couple of maps on to my unit and now when I turn it on all that shows up is a bunch of horizontal lines. Has anyone else ever had this problem before? Any help is appreciated. Unfortunately Garmin cusomer service is closed on the weekends.
If I’m assuming correctly, you added maps from a PC to your H/H and now you can’t see anything.
1st try rebuilding and reloading the maps. (50/50 shot) If that doesn’t work, go to Mygarmin.com and they’ll have a walk-thru on reseting your unit.
Your deal happened to me a couple of times when I loaded Lakes and Topo on at the same time; since I’ve gone to one or the other, rather than both, I haven’t had an issue.
Also – While you’re on Garmin, make sure your software is up to date.
