Take a look at the Vexilar Edge2. You can get the Edge through Jolly Ann Marine and you won’t have to pay sales tax outside of Iowa. Heres a review on the Edge.

I have been using this unit since it first came out, and love it. One of the nice things about this unit is that you can run it along side another unit, say a Lowrance unit, and have no interferrance. The simplicity of the unit is a super plus, a totally hands-free operation. The resolution, and seperation is fantastic. I am leaving the unit on the boat I am selling on the “Swap Board”, but I have bought a new one for the new boat. It doesn’t have the big name of Lowrance, but I feel it outshines most of their units.

Bought one last week from Jolly Marine and can’t wait to play with the new toy. Have heard nothing but great things about this unit.

I couldn’t agree more. I really like the clean crisp display and the separation the Edges offers. Targets and bottom transition are very easy to read. The unit is so simple to use. The three custom set up modes can be personalized so you can quickly toggle to fish any situation so your not wasting time pushing multiple menu buttons. But the main feature of the Edge is the dual transducer concept. When both transducers are used at the same time, fish just can’t hide on those edges anymore.

That’s great to hear Tom. Wire that baby up to a battery and go through the motions while reading the manual. It wont take long to be a pro at that unit. There are five different simulators that are helpful to show the different situations the Edge can be used in. Any questions on the Edge, feel free to ask.
