New RAM Light Speed Rod Holder

Found these while searching for a different RAM product. Anyone had an opportunity to check one out yet. They look similar to the Folbes that Deano sells. I’m curious if they are as good or not. Might have to try a couple out.

Sorry, I just noticed on their website that the release date for this new product was on March 15th. Probably not too many people have seen these in person yet. I can’t wait to hear some reviews on them.

    Hi Ben,

I just ordered 2 of the Rail Mount ones for my new Stratos, I will let you know what I think.

    Thx!

Looks to me like they’re a Folbe knock off with Folbe’s a few bucks less expensive.

Everts handles them (Folbe’s) Ben. They are GREAT for cat/sturgeon guys and trollers.

One suggestion. When Dean gave me one to try before I buy, I had a heck of a time using two types of holders. Once I switched from the Scotties/Cabela’s brands to all Folbes…life was good.

Folbes were designed for Salmon and White Sturgeon…they are tough!

I’ve been running them for 3 years now.

Looks like a copy of how the rod comes out of a Folbe. Love the Folbes……Look a little sturdier than the Ram Rod holder.

I think I asked Deano last year about the Folbes fitting in a RAM mount bracket and they don’t. I don’t know if I would use this new style all the time and like the idea of being able to switch between them easily. Maybe I’ll order one of these to see how I like them.
